so good - now it turns on and stays on

I got this scale because it connected to my Endicia online mail system (developed by Dymo) and my Dymo 450 TwinTurbo label printer. I had to buy another scale for my home office because my other USB powered Dymo scale failed after 7 years of use. Well, this one turned out to be Tuchus (Tuchis or Tuckus) an eyesore. I used the USB cable that came with it and as soon as I turned it on it went to sleep and wouldn't turn on again. I had to unplug the USB cable 5 or 6 times before it decided to stay on. Then it took even longer to unplug and plug back in for it to work. I've tried 3 different cables with no success. I googled the issue and landed on Dymo's troubleshooting page, which suggested disconnecting the USB cable and using batteries instead. I unplugged the USB cable and put in 3 AAA batteries so far so good - now it turns on and stays on BUT that doesn't solve why I had problems with USB from the start and now this scale isn't with my computer connected so i have to go through extra steps to use the endicia and now i have to worry about how fast i will drain the batteries when the only reason for buying it was to use the usb cable and not to worry about the batteries. In terms of accuracy, this scale was spot on with the exception of the USB issue. It has accurately weighed all my mail so far, from letters to 8 pound parcels. When I take my things to the post office and weigh them, they always tell me the weight is correct.

Pros
  • delivery was very fast
Cons
  • some flaws
