It does what it's designed to do and picks up the litter right in the bag. That's good, but I've used another brand that's more of a tube shape, and the shovel part is part of that tube shape. The opening in the bag is also larger, allowing larger lumps to slip through. It also has holes instead of slots, which actually allows less dirt to fall back into the box. I can't find this product anymore so I bought this one. Don't get me wrong, it works but not as well as the other brand. The bright spot are the scoop bags. I like the sip style clasp. However, you can save money by using small garbage bags if you run out of dustpan packaging. Love this idea, this company works really hard to make a good scoop and since I can't find another product this one will meet my needs.
