It worked for me after placing the beige felt face down.

Very disappointed. I carefully placed a slider under each of the 4 legs of my sofa and then tried to move the sofa. The sofa was pushed right off the sliders. The sliders are useless and very disappointing. Update: I had the sliders in the wrong direction. After setting the direction (the black side should be up and the felt side should be down) everything works fine. I was guided by the picture presented in the package (which showed it incorrectly). However, the text instructions were correctly spelled in relation to the page to be filed.
