Review on 📻 PAC C2RGM11 11-Bit Interface Adapter for 2007 GM Vehicles: Seamless Radio Integration, No OnStar System, BLACK by Adam Alvarez

I bought this for my 2007 Saturn Aura Hybrid. Please note that I have OnStar in my aura, but I never use it and never intend to use it. I was a little worried the wires and stuff wouldn't line up, but it was fine. I have this to disable my calls and snooze (when you turn the key off but the radio stays on until you open the door). Door). Calls are comfortable and easy to hear. They can also be disabled if you want, but only if you have access to the blue adapter box (you'll be ripping apart the dashboard, for example). I bought it to use with a Sony radio and everything went together. I'm very familiar with radio wiring and their connection diagrams, and it still took me a bit of reading and double-checking the manual to make sure everything was hooked up correctly, but overall it wasn't bad. You basically connect it to your aftermarket radio's wiring harness and then plug it into your vehicle's OEM/factory wiring terminals. If you are new to car installation, make sure you have all the wires sorted in your garage or whatever before attempting this in a car. Stuck in a small sedan with wires and tools everywhere, sweating in the middle of summer isn't for everyone! Unfortunately, my first adapter was defective. I plugged everything in, double and triple checked, and turned my radio on and off, on, off, etc. After about 5 minutes I saw a red light in the adapter and then *puff* (literally a puff of smoke), it froze. Luckily only the adapter went wrong and I was able to hook up my radio using a hot spring from the fuse box to get to me otherwise I would be without my radio for about 2 weeks. I was still able to use my radio, but my calls and the delayed shutdown didn't work. I called the company that makes them, they asked me a few troubleshooting questions and then asked me to look to Revain for a replacement, which was very quick. Then all I had to do was change the "hot wire" to how it's normally connected and plug in the blue adapter and it worked. I don't think it's fair to lose a star for DOA because there are faulty parts and they are replaced with no problem.
