Fits perfectly and connected to my 08 Malibu without any problems. My car had both star and steering wheel controls but I decided to remove them when I installed the new radio. The factory radio just died out and had to be replaced. Adding steering wheel controls later is a breeze as it's just a seat belt horn which seems to work pretty well when I leave the door open, no volume issues.
