Good idea, but not worth the effort or money. I wore these for an outdoor wedding this summer. The weather had been dry, so I wasn't wallowing through soft ground. About halfway through the reception, I started wondering why I was sinking down into the ground. When I looked to see what the problem was, I figured it out. The plastic had given way, and the Solemates were halfway up my heel, peeling the fabric off the heel! So much for not ruining your nice shoes! The heel punched through the bottom of the plastic. I did not have a stiletto heel. I had a normal heel. So, yes, they got me through the outdoor wedding ok but they gave up before the day was over. I thought I was going to be able to use these over and over as needed. They were a one-time thing.
