Always use on set. It's not a failure yet. My only complaint is that the mic cable was the same length as the headphone cable. If you're taller then maybe look elsewhere, it's not exceptionally short but it baffles me why they make the headphone cable that long and the mic cable not that long. Edit: Now, many months later, it's out of service. Still very worth the money. He saw everything on the set of many moons and kept popping up.
