I'm a woman who buys them for personal shaving. I've never understood why women's razor handles are made of plastic. I've always been amazed by the quality and durability of Gillette blades. Gillette Fusion turned out to be the model I settled on about ten years ago. I like the five blades and their quality. Twelve packs are enough for me for eight to twelve months, depending on the shaving technique (bathtub instead of quick shower). Gillette blades are a great product in my opinion. Regarding the purchase on this particular listing, I believe the product I received is authentic and of the quality I have come to expect from Gillette. I'm not sure what happened to others who got less than good quality blades.
