This unit is an exact replacement for my OEM unit and the new pump restored the original cleaning ability. Some time after I first bought the washing machine I bought a surface cleaner but couldn't use it to clean mold, mildew, stains etc on concrete surfaces. After replacing the pump the surface cleaner works well and this attachment really speeds up my driveway cleaning. The pump is attached to the petrol engine with four metric hex head screws that are a little tight but can be loosened with a little force on the hex key. The rest of the exchange was hassle-free. Note that there is an alternative, less expensive approach to pump replacement: Ebay sellers offer new gasket and valve kits so the original pump can be rebuilt, but I didn't realize this until I replaced my pump. When I took my pump apart to see why it was failing, I found that the water seals and valves were worn; So a gasket kit + valve kit totaling about $60 would probably rebuild the original pump.
