you slipped! But they've lasted longer than any other boots I've tried, which is a lot. I found my dog's legs to be too thick, so I had trouble putting them on without cutting off his circulation - harnesses are not designed for "big-boned" breeds like Akitas and Malamutes. I used them on hot pavement for a week and my dog didn't mind at all after tripping over the length at first. But they're easy to put on - just make sure they don't slip off (we saw one fall off after 3 miles).
