The wire is just what I needed. Plastic clips need direction.

The wire is great and easy to work with. Clamps are perfect for connecting two strips of 10mm LEDs, for example if you accidentally cut a strip in the wrong place because you don't have to measure it again - you'll remember where to cut it and if your wife tells you to You cut in the wrong place, what does she know? You've got an engineering degree and women are notoriously bad at metrics, so SNIP URGENT! *sigh* But hey, these clips are great for attaching a LED strip. In my case, a sincere apology, an admission that I'm stupid, and a pint of Hรคagen-Dazs fixed the other part. However, trying to use terminals on these wires was a different story - maybe trying to solder them might work, but since I was soldering I figured I could solder them directly to the LED strip. When I tried using the terminals without solder on the wire, closing the terminal moved the wires away from where they needed to work. There might be a trick to using wire clamps and it might be in a guide somewhere, but I have an engineering background so I don't need to read the guide. Or check dimensions. Having not tried it myself, I'm theorizing here, but my wife says I'm fine. for a brick-headed bag. Soldering to the clip can A. melt the clip if you're not careful, and B. create a connector that can be snapped onto the LED strip and later detached. It's really secure when locked in place. So if you want a really secure but temporary connection to the LED strip, this can be a good option.
