While the metal base did not fit into my existing bed frame due to center bar and thus had to be disassembled, bummer. The mechanical base was a breeze to assemble. I can not get enough of the soothing sound of the electrical motors articulating head and foot support, with it's crips and soothing humm. The future has arrived, man and machine' united, using mechanical precision to contort my body into a new heights of relaxation as I am lulled into a inescapable chasm of sedentary existence.All seriousness aside I have used a tri-field meter to confirm my suspicion that having a motorized bed creates a measurable unhealthy electric field around the bed. For this reason I unplug the bed from the wall socket when I don't use it's mechanical functions. Otherwise a brilliant piece of invention.
