Check Ink 1403 Error

I only had ink for a little over a month, I hardly used it, and today there is such an error from the printer "Check Ink 1403", but it doesn't print at all. I have tried reinstalling the cartridge and restarting the printer but to no avail. It's been a few days since the return date, so I can't get a refund. This is a dissatisfied customer.
