I'm an aspiring artist. I know nothing about painting so this is not a professional opinion. I like oil paints. Investing in paint supplies can be very expensive if you are unsure about painting. There is a very wide variety of colors and you can mix them and get many shades and colors. They mix easily and stick to the canvas when used in sufficient quantity. As a beginner, I tend to use a light hand. The color saturation is good. I have used alcohol to clean them. The tube says to use turpentine for wet cleaning. The brushes arrived clean and look good. As a beginner I am very satisfied with this set.
