Review on Pieces Ounce Modeling Colors Manuals by Lori Aguirre

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good soft clay

Update: I heard from the seller and received a polite response and an offer for another box for free. I upped the rating based on the great customer service and the fact that the clay that didn't dry out was great. So if you received a dried batch, contact the seller for a replacement. I received two boxes of this tone to use as good behavior class prizes. A box was fine. The clay was soft and easy to crush. I actually only opened a few of them, so now as I write this I'm not sure if they were all boring. One was definitely dry. In another box, many had already dried. Some of them were completely dry, many were mostly dry, especially the top layer of clay. I've already spent most of the plasticine, not noticing that they are not soft. I had a few students who complained and wanted the audio replaced. The photos show the different stages of drying. Olive green is mostly dry on top, slightly less dry on the bottom. The green kelly shows the tape, mostly dry, fading down the middle, the rest hasn't been shaped much. The yellow could have been manipulated more, but it still wasn't as wet as expected. My students were very happy with the tone, I am upset that this tone was such a disappointment. If I realize how dry they are before I give half away I would return them.

Pros
  • Clay and batter
Cons
  • Some little things
