DO NOT use templates

The numbers look good but the clips are of very poor quality. Of the nine pins (I bought three numbers), three had a noticeable bend. The bend doesn't matter since no one is looking at the pins, but it does mean you can't use a template. That's right - don't use a template!1. First attach the pins to the digits (no need to overtighten them as you will most likely break them).2. Use lipstick or something else to mark the pins. My wife wouldn't let me use her lipstick so I used Nutella!3. Carefully line up the dowels either on the template or directly on the wall if you know exactly where you want them. I marked the stencils and then taped them to the wall.4. Now use a center punch on the lipstick or Nutella marks to create a hole in the wall. Double check that the pins line up with the center holes of the hole punch.6. Drill holes.7. Finally, make sure the numbers fit effortlessly into the wall. You can't break the pin in this step - if it doesn't go in with ease, your holes won't line up.8. Remove the numbers, fill the holes with clear silicone and reinsert the numbers. Stick them in place with tape until the silicone dries. Hope this helps - good luck everyone! I've attached some photos to emphasize my main point - don't use templates!
