Review on ๐Ÿšฒ SHIMANO PD-M530 MTB Pedals by Ryo Flora

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Consistently good quality from original Shimanos

My wife and I use them for road biking so they are easy to remove but I have never had them pop out under power so why would I want an SPD-L to buy? When are you perfect for me? After all, I'm not Chris Froome. Easy to fit and tighten, never a problem and withstands a variety of conditions including mud, road salt, dirt, rain and sometimes intermittent cleaning on my part - much easier to clean the entire bike. and forget the pedal hardware. They seem to be beasts when it comes to durability. Mine has a few scratches from curbs or turning too fast and hitting the pavement or something - bad, I know. But they hold up great as you would expect from reality. Shimano pedals are pretty easy to see how far the threads go to adjust tension so they can all be adjusted consistently, although you do need a good eye to count the threads or keep track of them, but this is only to be expected I suppose. The black and chrome look great on just about anything, and the extra outer piece makes it easier to step in I think, but doesn't interfere with connecting your shoes to the cleats. Good pedals for road bikes or mountain bikes.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Has imperfections
