Packed with Features and Uses 4 Energy Sources

I chose this particular emergency weather station radio flashlight because I thought that the tall silhouette (vs. a horizontal orientation) would make it easier to use the light function in a variety of situations, plus it provides 4 ways to power it. This product has a lot of great features – it kind of ‘does-it-all’ for an emergency situation.WHAT I LOVE: 1) So many functions – Radio, weather band, warm light reading lamp, cool light lantern, carrying handle, base stand for tabletop use, ability to charge other devices using USB connector. 2) Four energy sources – traditional batteries, hand crank, solar, and USB charging cable.WHAT COULD BE BETTER?The only issue I encountered in using it was that the stand didn’t stay on reliably. I could get it on and stand the unit up just fine, but when I carried it around sometimes the stand fell off in transit. So just something to be aware of… I don’t think it’s a showstopper or fatal flaw.TIP:You need to read the instructions on how the light works. I was having trouble turning the light on until I read the instructions! It has two modes – cool (blue) and warm (yellow) light modes. I kept trying to press the buttons wondering why it wasn’t turning on reliably – you need to press the power button for 2 seconds to turn the light on. When the reading lamp is in the closed position you get cool light, when the reading lamp is in the open position it emits warm light (better for reading.)All in all, I’m really happy with this little unit that’s packed with great features!
