Review on John Atkinson 100 Percent Heirloom 100 Inch Bedding by Toni Cooper

I love John Atkinson's blankets. The wool is beautiful and the overall quality is excellent! I ordered this blanket at a reduced price as it was described as 'used - like new'. There was a comment that the packaging might be damaged. The original packaging is ok, but has a few labels on it and looks a bit worn. However, the quilt is not really "like new", but without defects. This appears to be the second, with a number of minor imperfections including tiny flecks of darker fiber woven into the cream colored wool and a couple of very small butter like imperfections, possibly from wool mill equipment. Apparently a previous buyer returned it and her long note describing the defects was in the package when I received it. Her opinion was that the ceiling was defective, the second. This was not disclosed in the original description. Anyhow, I've selected some of the unwanted fibers, and small oil stains - or whatever they are - can be minimized with a thorough spot cleaning. I like the blanket so much that I will most likely keep it for myself. I'll think about it over the weekend. If I decide I don't want it in such imperfect condition, it will be sent back to Revain on Monday - at their expense.
