Hooks of this size have been used for various purposes for several years and have always worked well. A few years ago we tried them to display Christmas wreaths indoors and outside on the front door (a wire/metal wreath). No problem outdoors either (under a porch, not in direct sunlight except during the sunny part of the day). They are easy to apply and we always used a small amount of rubbing alcohol on a paper towel to clean the surface prior to application. Removal is easy and the hooks left no marks where we used them. I've been reusing plastic hook parts for a number of years. Couldn't find a sticky strip sold individually so I just bought a new pack that includes both.
