I have had several different TT Products nose and ear trimmers and they all work great. The latter finally gave up around 2.5 years after the purchase. I swapped out the blades once, but for the cutting performance and overall reliability for a $15 machine, I can't complain. My previous devices for this were from Panasonic and when I had problems with them and wrote to Panasonic, I never got an answer from them. TT Products has always responded quickly. I just got this new one and it cuts just like the last one I had from TT Products. I bought this because it has a lifetime guarantee. I've noticed that some people say the tip gets hot after use. I noticed it too. But I take some household 3-in-1 oil and put some on a cotton swab. Then remove the metal trimmer head and remove the blades. Now take a cotton swab with 3 in 1 oil and rub it into the blade holder. This not only lubricates the rotating area of the blade, but also cleans out any old debris. The first time you use it after cleaning and lubricating this way, you can smell the 3 in 1 oil, but that doesn't bother me. It keeps the area clean and keeps it running smoothly. I also have an old toothbrush that I use to clean the blades. Clean it this way every 3 or 4 times you use it and it will last a long time. In fact, I haven't found a better trimmer than the one sold by TT Products. And they cost very reasonable. The fact that they have a lifetime guarantee on this product also surprises me quite a bit. Assuming they stay in business, I'll probably never have to buy one again :-).
