I bought this with a plan to take the board and key from my old dirty yellowed key fob into a fresh new one transfer one. The board fits and the key fits right in. But. To understand the rest, you need to understand how the button activates when you press it: a tiny metal element on one side touches a metal element on the other side. This triggers a signal. This new keychain has both metal buttons on the board. The OEM Dodge Challenger key fob has metal buttons bonded to the rubber and metal buttons on the other side of the circuit board. So I had to remove the little buttons from the rubber of my old one and glue them to the rubber side of the new one. It took tweezers, glue and about ten minutes. Now it works great and looks great. It's also a plus that they come with a battery, but chances are the battery in your old one is better, so be sure to try both. All in all, this is a great offer and I am completely satisfied.
