The travel size is the best in sports water bottles

This is a smaller bottle but it's convenient to carry in a small everyday backpack when I'm running errands, going to meetings or just need water. I measured it with a very old wooden ruler, so my fairly tight measurements are 7 inches from the bottom of the bottle to the plastic rivet on the cap. The bottle itself is 2-3/4 inches wide and the bottle neck is 2 inches in diameter. I would like Nalgene to make a plastic insert to prevent accidental water ingress, which can sometimes happen. My previous Nalgene bottles came in cases with detachable straps made by a third party and this is my only negative for Nalgene. There's no insulating sleeve to absorb the sweat from a cold drink, so I resorted to lone virgin wool socks to wick away sweat. i love the size It's easy to throw in your bag or with your lunch. Take large bottles for all-day walks, hikes, and the like. But if you don't want to buy water from a vending machine, this is the perfect size.
