Review on DEEPCOOL Gamma Archer CPU Air Cooler with 120mm Fan for Intel and AMD Processors - High Airflow Design by Anson Wang ᠌

What did I pay for? The product is a complete failure.

With all of the extras and goodies that come with DeepCool's budget coolers, I do not recommend going with the Gamma Archer, and here are the reasons why: It was necessary to build the computer with the lowest possible price using components from the store (we don't consider second-hand ones at all because our friends really believe in the store's guarantee), so I decided to test out this cooler as a cooler (although I had taken gammamax300 in a couple of assemblies). What is the problem: 1. Unattractive and uncomfortably sticky packaging made with thermal paste; in fact, they just spat thermal paste onto a piece of paper and then wrapped it up. 2. In general, this is one of the worst bindings available on the market. In point of fact, the mount is classic, but it is not made to size. As a result, in order to pull the cooler onto the mother without breaking the board, I had to unscrew the turntable, slightly bend the arc on which the cooler is attached, fix the radiator, and only then put the turntable back on. This allowed me to pull the cooler onto the mother without damaging the board. As a consequence of this, I do not advise buying this cooler; instead, you should prop up a bottle of soda or beer on its side and invest in a gammamax300 (or any of its equivalents), as the headaches associated with its assembly are not worth it.

Pros
  • The absence of noise, the dimensions of the fan, and the cost
Cons
  • The equipment is so subpar that even the instructions are printed directly onto the packaging rather than being provided on paper. The AM4 socket mount has terrible installation and poor craftsmanship overall.
