The Hot Tools Professional Taifun Ionic AC Dryer with Travel Case is my first "high-end" styling tool. Yes, I turned 38 with incredibly long hair, which I wash and style almost every day with nothing but the cheapest hair tools money can buy and which I only replace when they no longer work. I didn't really think of something like a hair dryer. I thought they were all the same but now I realize I was wrong. Here are a few things to note about this hair dryer: The AC motor is still a bit noisy (I mean, it's still a hair dryer), but it's significantly quieter than what I've used before and haven't. the shrill scream I'm used to from my old hair dryers. The rubberized handle is comfortable and fits well in the hand. This item is POWERFUL and dries my hair FAST! The drying time of my long hair has been halved since using this hair dryer. Settings are great. You get all the usual settings (high and low power, high and low temperature, and a cool button) and unlike some hair dryers that don't offer much variation, there's a noticeable difference between power settings and temperature settings. this is my first ionic hair dryer and i can really tell the difference it makes my hair much smoother and smoother than my old regular hair dryers. I have significantly less frizz in my hair, but I've also noticed that since using this hairdryer I don't have nearly as much volume in my hair as I used to, which I don't like, but as I understand it, it's a normal one Consequence of using an ion hair dryer. This machine came with a velvet storage bag and high quality attachments. Overall I am very happy with this hair dryer. It saves me time and my hair seems much healthier as it spends less time under heat and the benefits of ionic straightening with every blow dry. I can't imagine ever going back to cheap hair dryers after using this one. I definitely recommend it.
