I'll start with the "PROS": The bench is built to last and will serve the purpose we bought it for: a place to store your detergent and a place to sit when you're after one dry off in the shower. The wood has a beautiful finish and color. "Minus points": 1. Assembly. For two people (and it really takes two people) to earn our PhD in assembling Ikea flat box furniture, this was a nightmare. The tools provided are not sufficient. In addition to a small wrench you will need: a better quality wrench or ratchet screwdriver with a suitable wrench bit; clamps so that the lid does not open during assembly; a drill for a pilot hole that has never been drilled; and a flashlight to see the screw holes inside when you attach the doors.2. At this price I was expecting matching wooden plugs to cover the 10 open screw holes on the end pieces and the plastic bumpers to keep the doors from slamming. The photos online do NOT show the metal advertising sign on the front of the bank. It doesn't look like a pretty piece of furniture that is glued and installed in the front, so it can't be easily removed without leaving a hole in the raw wood in the front. We solved these problems by using suitable contact paper to partially cover the holes and masking the back of the sticker before reapplying it. But it should never have been necessary.4. A cushion might be appropriate for a hallway because it's the color of dirt, but the fabric is cheap and ugly. All in all this is a beautiful piece (minus the promotional plaque) which will serve our purpose once the above issues are resolved and re-upholstered. Pillow I think it's overpriced in quality. This is NOT a $200 piece of furniture.
