I'm not sure if this is an actual legitimate Dell charger. I used this with my Dell XPS 9700 and played a game on the laptop for about half an hour and the charger got so hot I couldn't even hold it in my hand because it was burning my skin. I also have the original charger that came with my laptop, I just wanted a second one to make it easier to move the laptop from room to room. When I use my original charger it doesn't get that hot. I think I'll have to return the item because it's so hot I don't think it was plugged in or left on for a long time. I checked the temperature with a temporary gun while the PC ran a demanding gaming/laptop process for half an hour on a single charger. The original OEM charger that came with my laptop got about 124F and this charger got up to 150F. That's about a 26 degree difference. Photos of charger/temp are attached.
