The charging port on my Dell laptop lost contact and I was unable to use the laptop. Luckily, I had a docking station that uses a USB-C cable for charging. It was a bit harder to find what I can, but it was and it works great. Not impressed that the charging port lost the pin and wasn't charging, but it saved it!

As a contract developer, I need to trust the products that I connect to my laptop. I trust this Dell product and it does what I need it to do but gets very hot. No issues so far, but I'm worried about this thing getting hot during use. I love the changes Dell made to the cord wrap design. Much more convenient to travel when removed.

My XPS 9570 recognized the 130w charger so I was happy as USB-C charging is convenient for my school setup. I used the charger as the main charger instead of the barrel charger. A month later (September 16th) the charging port felt very hot and may have caused my laptop's fans to run at high speed when my CPU was below 8%, memory < 30% and GPU = 0% . Great value for a 130w charger. Works well with my Dell Latitude 7400 and other USB-C devices. Love the fact that the fork has an LED that lights up when it's on, especially at night or when you're on a plane and the cabin is dark. I'm not giving it five stars as the charger itself is very heavy and terribly inconvenient for travel. I leave it at home and use the original laptop charger as a travel charger. I'm not sure if this is an actual legitimate Dell charger. I used this with my Dell XPS 9700 and played a game on the laptop for about half an hour and the charger got so hot I couldn't even hold it in my hand because it was burning my skin. I also have the original charger that came with my laptop, I just wanted a second one to make it easier to move the laptop from room to room. When I use my original charger it doesn't get that hot.
