This year they were purchased for eating outdoors. I am very accident prone, I tend to use a lot of glasses especially mugs as my carpal tunnel sometimes causes problems holding mugs. I wanted very simple drinking glasses without feet, so I decided to buy them. The glasses were packaged very well and arrived safely. One of the best mug packaging I've ever seen. These glasses are a good size for everything from lemonade to mimosa. The set of 8 suited our needs as when we have company it's usually only 4-5 adults and we don't gather in large numbers. We prefer small dinner parties and BBQs with friends. They wash well, although the design means you'll need some sort of bottle brush to clean the cups. You can't just hand wash them. You can put them in the dishwasher (we wash everything by hand). An inexpensive bottle brush works well and I can still achieve a spot free shine by simply rinsing with hot water and letting it air dry. A good solution for small spaces too, glasses don't take up much space in the closet as they are tall and slim in design. Good value for money. Very nice housewarming gift. The package can be simply wrapped or put away as a gift.
