I recently bought this to replace a rubber coupling that melted while mashing hot broccoli for broccoli cheddar soup. Never blend anything hot in the blender. The rubber will just melt and I don't understand why KitchenAid decided to make this piece out of rubber. Stupid idea! The hardest part was removing the old clutch, which took almost half an hour. But thank God for the little tool. It helped remove. One thing you need to know when removing the clutch is that you have to turn it clockwise. I kept twisting it counter clockwise and it seemed to tighten up and wouldn't loosen and then when I twisted it clockwise it loosened and I just kept twisting and twisting until it loosened. Then when it came time to screw in the new clutch, I screwed it in further and turned it to the right, thinking it would turn easily. Somehow it didn't fit. I've tried this many times, and then I realized I need to turn it counterclockwise (turn left). And it went in so easily. If I had known that from the start, it would have saved you a lot of time. Let's see how long this lasts. If not, I have additional services to make another change, but I hope I don't have to do it for long. As for the seller, excellent service, good product and it came in 2 days. Wonderful, fast service!
