Socks come in different styles: high/short, solid color, solid color, multicolor, it all depends on what you like to wear or how much fun you want to have. I also like colorful socks from time to time. This looks like a surprise pack of socks because none of them look like the photo, although the original photo shows an attempt to hide the back of the socks. Not sure why. As you can see from my photo, some of the socks have a light color and pattern on the back. Doesn't look bad, just fun. I personally prefer cotton socks, but polyester is better for activities like gaming or hiking, especially if they get wet - they dry faster. They are medium thick, not heavy like wool socks, but not thin and light either. Funny socks for our grandson.
