Review on ๐ŸŽค Audio-Technica AT2020 Cardioid Condenser Studio XLR Microphone: Perfect for Project/Home Studios by Nathan Tank

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The firmware is buggy but works fine.

Edit: I'm editing this review to show my dissatisfaction with AT support. I use this mic successfully, although the USB driver in the mic died a bit after the first 40 days (barely after the return period). I recently tried using it with JamKazam. The problem is that JamKazam says the rates are not in and out do not match. It's also impossible to get it to work. The microphone repair time is about 10 days after AT received the microphone. This does not include shipping. If you ship it with UPS in the following days they will fix it quicker and ship it back the next day, but by the time I'm paying for shipping I might as well put that money into a new mic like a Rode or use a yeti again, the sound isn't the same quality as it was like a brick and survived 2 years of daily use until the usb controller failed (is cheaper too) Original review: why didn't I give 5 stars here? to a universal USB microphone. After searching, I found that this is a very common microphone problem. Unfortunately if you want it repaired you will have to pay for shipping to Audio-Technica with no guarantee that you will not be billed for the repair. Also, you're off the mic for who knows how long. I had a Blue Yeti about 2 years before this happened. Fortunately, this microphone can still be used even after a driver problem. Just so all readers know, I've already tried a different cable and computer. The problem is with the mic itself. I know this happens with USB mics, but it must be after prolonged use. On the good side why did I give it 4 stars despite software issues. The sound quality is much better than the Blue Yeti, even after driver issues. In addition, it is very light and easily attaches to a microphone stand without falling. I love everything Audio Technica does and even if it's the worst thing they do, it's the worst of many great products. Ride.
