I went for two years on 235/40 R18, now I changed it to the same 225/50 R17. I don’t recommend it with the 40th profile - wild rutting, on our asphalt it seems that it always leads to the side, you have to cling to the steering wheel and keep the car at speed. With the 50th, there is no such completely unpleasant effect, a rut is felt a little, but does not interfere. When choosing tires, there is always a choice - hard, controlled and noisy - or quiet, soft, but with a loss of control. Potenza S001 refers to the first option - of course, it is quieter than the winter one with spikes, but the sound is noticeable. But otherwise - in any weather in the warm season - it can withstand any load perfectly, it just keeps the road tightly.
