Review on 🐦 Penn-Plax Bird Life Activity Center – Ideal for Small or Juvenile Birds by Donna Harvey

I read the reviews and was warned about the nature of the product so it got 3 stars instead of 2. Definitely not a quality product - the wood is brittle and the ladder came broken in the box (see photo). Because of the price, I decided it wasn't worth dealing with a return, so I tried gluing the pieces together, which (sort of) worked. This made assembly difficult, but hopefully it will hold together. After being frozen overnight I started building a playground. As already mentioned, the paint bleeds profusely. Even a simple application of PVA glue will cause the color to bleed. Therefore, there are many multicolored spots of dripping paint all over the base of the playground. I am also very disappointed and concerned that after several people have suggested that the copper bell could be poisonous to birds it is still in the product. After reading other reviews I immediately threw the bell and attached perch in the bin but honestly, it shouldn't be in this product at all! Another lost star. It's all drying out at the moment so I haven't introduced it to my bird yet. I bought a medium sized cockatiel kit and it looks like it's holding up well. If he weighed a lot more, forget it. So be sure to check the sizes before you buy because I think some people bought the size for small birds (like parrots) and then their bird was obviously too big.
