I expected more from the purchase, but not the worst option.

I am unable to comment on the state of affairs regarding alternative device drivers; however, I would advise you to only buy this one if you already have some experience in the field of networking. It is recommended that you look into other possibilities if you are interested in purchasing a product whose description includes the phrase "I plugged it in, pressed the 'next' button, and it all worked." Different pros: Concerning the hardware, nobody has any issues with the device: the signal is very worthy (although inferior to the built-in WiFi on Asus motherboards), and it does not get lost. Even speed is not a problem. The following are some of its negative aspects: Terrible drivers. I needed to purchase it in order to set up a software access point (it was undesirable to connect the main computer through a router for a number of reasons). As a consequence of this, I experienced a great deal of disappointment when I found software that was almost identical to the one utilized on the ancient ASUS P4P800E Deluxe's built-in Wi-Fi. And the development of this software cost me a great deal of blood, sweat, and tears. If someone is considering making a purchase for these reasons (Soft AP), I strongly suggest that they immediately download the most recent drivers available from Ralink RT2870 and the Connectify utility. Only this group of people were successful in sharing the VPN connection normally with the Internet. Built-in is another option, albeit one that takes significantly more time and is less stable. This is true for both Windows XP and Windows 7 64-bit.
