Review on πŸ”Š High-Performance 12 AWG 30ft Speaker Wire by InstallGear - True Spec and Soft Touch Cable in Red/Black by John Swain

Best CCA Cable for $

Photo attached - at right is one of the best OFC cables in the audio shop (12 AWG+). They are oversized and use a flexible jacket. Shown on the left is InstallGear 12awg Copper Clad Aluminum (CCA), which also uses a similar flexible shell. InstallGear does a great job of being both transparent and reliable in presenting the specifications of the product. Here are some tips on when an honest company selling CCA wire will save you money without sacrificing quality compared to oxygen free copper (OFC) wire which costs twice as much. Subwoofer for car audio systems:1. Anything under 900 watts and less than 5 feet of yardage.2. Connecting one or more dual voice coil subwoofers.3. If you live predominantly in a cooler environment.4. Splicing wires for the first time. Home Theater 3.1, 5.1, 7.1[or]-.1:1. No cons up to 400 watts up to 50 feet. Cons: This cable is not intended for experienced old-school audiophiles as their ears are significantly better tuned than the previous generation. A sleeker, new-age look might alienate purists who prefer higher coverage. In fact, the only cheat is your dog or cat playing with the wire. It is easily penetrated by their razor-sharp claws or teeth. I hope this review was helpful.
