I'm very upset with all my friends who know I like hiking. They used it all the time and never talked about it. Eventually I saw that one of them had one and asked. The truth came out. I have tried all other brands. OTHERS DO NOT WORK. THE THING WORKS. So I skeptically ordered some because the place I wanted to go doesn't allow anything colored because they are afraid of the old formaldehyde formula, it's still there. I will not say that our black tank smells like spring freshness. But it doesn't smell anymore. The best advice I had was that I had to thoroughly clean the black tank and make sure it didn't have any soap scum or other chemicals in it before adding it. I will never use anything else for serious 5 wheel camping ever again. Keep in mind that this is not a quick fix for port wine. This is for black tanks when camping wet or dry. It doesn't have to mask anything because it does the right thing with the stuff in your black tank. Seriously why did it take years to figure out my friends were using it all the time.
