I have a cake tin that needs small cups but they are smaller than I expected. The bottom of the cup does not fill the bottom of the indentations in the can and the top of the cups protrudes above the tops in the can causing them to tip over. I don't understand how to fill them other than with the melon ball tool and then how do I get the batter? Even my smallest spring-loaded muffin/cookie dough tool is too big to scoop up those tiny liners. Unfortunately I had several inserts of this size but I threw them away because they were too small to be useful and they were at least educational so could be filled in if you did such a good job. They are fragile and also very small. I see the only way to fill them with a pastry bag and that might work for those willing. But not for me.
