We've had several different brands of ionizers over the years, including ones that cost over $500. This simple device is similar to our Alpine which has stood the test of time. I was happy to see this simple design. Some ionizers have digital controls and bells and whistles that fail in the short term. This device is excellent for the money. As mentioned, this is a simple design and just an ionizing plate, but it's pretty powerful! We currently have this at the lowest tier because that's all it takes. I bought a second one and recommended it to friends. Buy with confidence.
