Cute, But Too Easy For My Pupperoni

I liked this dog puzzle toy, and had high hopes for it. It's a good size, and has a few ways to hide treats and kibble. There are 8 white slides that hide food, and 3 middle blue slides that move in a circle that hide food as well. The most challenging aspect of this puzzle toy is to move the center circle pieces around enough to allow the corner slides enough room to move to be able to get the treats out. If the center pieces aren't moved, then only one corner slide can be accessed, and the other 3 will lock, blocked by the blue center pieces.I like that the slides and pieces have paw-shaped holes, allowing your dog to see and smell the hidden food. The middle of the puzzle has a blue squeak button that you can push that grabbed my dog's attention right away.I felt this puzzle toy would keep my rottweiler pup entertained and challenged for awhile, but she figured it out in less than 5 minutes. The entertainment and challenge didn't last as long for her as I had hoped, but she still received mental stimulation, and that's still important. As for the durability, she did try to nibble at, and pick up, one of the slides. It didn't pop out, at least not yet. I'm glad this didn't have any parts pop loose during her first intense use, but time will tell how it holds up.Overall, I recommend this for a younger pup that is still learning and exploring, or for a smaller dog that likes to take it's time to nibble and graze at their food. A food-driven dog like mine will probably break the slides off to get to the yummy reward very quickly!
