it is good for the price. Takes sharp pictures and has many features at a great price. the battery is really bad. If you plan to take a lot of shots on any given day, you need at least one backup battery. I've found the battery only lasts 4-6 hours depending on holiday usage. The backup I got was no better. Unfortunately, Canon cameras cannot charge the battery by connecting it to an external battery or other USB charger. Users must remove the battery and charge it with the included charger, which must be plugged into an outlet. I've always used Canon, but it's time to move with the times. Unless they change their cameras to allow USB charging of the battery so that it can be charged more conveniently (e.g. a power bank or car charger), I will switch to a brand that offers more convenient charging.
