Strong metal but the cubes won't release. At first you think wow cool retro tray. But after using them for a few weeks, you start to wonder why you put up with broken dice, near-impossible trigger activation, skinned knuckles, and so on. My wife threw them in the trash in anger after failing to get the cubes out herself for the hundredth time. I can, but I'm 6'5, 240lbs, almost hard muscles, and they annoy me too! Nothing should be so hard just to serve ice in a drink.
