🧊 RSVP International Endurance Vintage Inspired Retro Design Ice Tray - Large Cube Cocktail Collection Review

Strong metal but the cubes won't release. At first you think wow cool retro tray. But after using them for a few weeks, you start to wonder why you put up with broken dice, near-impossible trigger activation, skinned knuckles, and so on. My wife threw them in the trash in anger after failing to get the cubes out herself for the hundredth time. I can, but I'm 6'5, 240lbs, almost hard muscles, and they annoy me too! Nothing should be so hard just to serve ice in a drink.

After buying LOTS of plastic ice trays, I finally decided to try stainless steel ice trays. I had a choice of stainless steel bowls with lots of ice cubes or this one with six LARGE cubes each. Since they can't be stored in the freezer, I opted for two six-cube (large) cube-sized trays. The smaller stainless steel trays fit perfectly in my criss-cross ice cube basket. This is not the first order I'm ordering. I have two that I previously ordered and for some reason one has a crack in the corner and the other is still fine. I love giant ice cubes and hate plastic trays. I bought a large silicone bowl but it left a strange taste on the dice. I definitely want stainless steel and I hope companies continue to improve the quality. I leave them before I crack them and I have a problem, two dice always stick to the insert that forms the dice. *Update Just before I was about to throw this away, I watched a YouTube video of someone demonstrating a similar product. They stated that you MUST turn it over and run cold water on the bottom of the ice tray for 2 seconds and you should hear the ice pop out of the ice tray. I've tried it 3 times now with perfect dice each time. Feel like an idiot who has been trying to break a piece of ice for the past 3 months. There is a right way and a wrong way (I think) when placing the tray liner. Make sure the end of the handle doesn't cover the Endurance logo and you'll see the bars fit the tray better (behind the grooves on the bottom of the tray). If you place it the other way around, the bars will move more. Also, I leave the tray on the counter for five minutes before breaking the ice cubes.
