Is working. Well done. But unfortunately a disappointment.

If you have more than one computer, a KVM switch can be a great thing. I had a hard time deciding whether to give 2 or 3 stars. I ended up choosing 2. On the plus side, this unit was probably the cheapest of them all. I used to use Rosewill products so I bought them without hesitation. It comes with a cute little switch and with the press of a button you can switch from one PC to another. The box containing the cables is clearly marked PC1 and PC2. The green LED indicates which computer you are working on. It appears to be a well-made device. So why only 2 stars? The annoying problem is that every time I switched between computers, my screen resolution was set to a lower resolution. I kept having to go into the display menu, ask myself to define a resolution, and then apply that resolution. Of course, all my icons were moved afterwards. I don't know if this problem is inherent to KVM, but I suspect it shouldn't work that way. If I had to use this device all the time on a daily basis, that would not be acceptable. But for my purposes, the cost outweighed the efficiency, and I put up with it. If you have a short term project like mine, you should buy this. But if you work with two computers on a regular basis, I would look elsewhere.
