Fireproof bag suitable for safes and safe accessories

Bought two of these. Tried to light one. It didn't catch fire, but it gets very hot inside, and the outside of the bag now has a black charred layer where I put a direct flame. Aside from the dark color, there is no damage or melting to the bag. I plan to try plastic inside. I'd like to know if it gets hot enough to melt plastic or burn paper before I trust it. So far it seems to be working as advertised.
