Here's a nice piece of fabric. You could cut it into 2-4 pieces of commercial cloth the size of a kitchen towel if you wish, and then washing your hands in the sink would be much easier. I've tried to keep everything intact and only use its corner when needed, but it quickly becomes unwieldy when you try to hand wash it. Regardless, I strongly recommend hand washing and drying as mine is very cracked (because the ends are not hemmed) even on a gentle wash-dry cycle. have one of this size for different projects.
