I have an Aruba S2500-48P switch with 4 SFP+ ports that is marked in the manual as only supporting 1 Gigabit copper modules, but on a whim I jumped on it and thought it wouldn't work would , no big deal but of course right out of the box and loaded into a powered switch and he picked it up and watched it with no problems or extra tricks like enabling unsupported transceivers etc. Connected to my google router and full10g works fine on cat6 cable! I have now ordered 3 more. I haven't tested Jumbo Frames/MTU yet, but I'll update if I encounter any issues.
