Ideal for removing vinyl strips on a GRP boat!

This is the first time I've used an eraser wheel to remove vinyl strips from a fiberglass boat that's over 35 years old. I had to 75% of the 2" wide vinyl using the heat gun method, but left a thick smear. It took acetone and lots of elbow grease to remove it. This method only worked where the vinyl was intact. Where the strip was torn and damaged, that was Hot air gun method not possible. I didn't use a "famous brand" product but chose this one based on reviews and a reasonable price. I wasn't disappointed. I put on safety glasses, a long-sleeved jacket, grabbed a cordless screwdriver and grabbed the rest vinyl strips on. WOW! I was half done in minutes. The process leaves a lot of vinyl flakes and a lot Eraser residue (like pencil erasers but on a larger scale). Most of the vinyl flake fell to the concrete floor and was easily vacuumed up. The rubber stuck to the fiberglass but brushed off easily with a terry towel. The vinyl was blue and the fiberglass was white. There was some blue streaking, but I didn't see the yellow discoloration mentioned in the other post. After the residue was removed I used a light acetone wipe to finish. Blue streaks were easily removed with just the mildest scrub.
