Review on πŸ’§ Zefal 164 Water Bottle: Durable 33 oz Container for Hydration by Darin Marshall

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Wrong declaration of the volume of the bottle - its volume is only 914ml not 975ml and not a liter

The declared volume of the bottle is 975ml but I found (Weight: 85 grams empty without Lid, 998 grams, filled to the brim with water even without the lid) that its true volume is 914 ml (if you forget physics, 1 liter of water weighs 1 kg; 1 milliliter of water weighs 1 gram) . For those who don't understand the metric system, 914 ml is 30.9 fl oz by volume. Or, using the same volume of water but by weight, 914 grams is 32.24 ounces by weight. Find out. In any case, it looks like "33 oz" is the result of a creative approach to converting metric to US units, combined with "wishful thinking" rounding numbers. This bottle holds nearly 33 ounces of water by weight, but only about 31 ounces of liquid by volume. Thanks to the SAE system for this confusion. In addition, the bottles are still slightly larger than average, fit snugly in the bottle cage (tested with a Bontrager bottle cage), and don't leak (so reports of leaking bottles from previous model years can be ignored). The appearance of these bottles (Zefal Magnum) does not exactly match the appearance of the bottles (Zefal Magnum) on the manufacturer's site. Last year's model? USA specific model? It's difficult to say. The label says "Made in France".
