Well built, bought 2 for my bike

Although I typically "only" ride 30-40 miles max, I recently did my first semi-ironman at 95 miles so needed plenty of water. I bought one of these and have done a few 20-30 mile rides on tarmac, mud, gravel etc and it hasn't fallen out or leaked. As recommended by other reviews, I chose to hand wash and avoid the dishwasher as some felt it could result in poor sealing and leaks. I really like how big it is so I bought a second one and had both on my bike. At the end of 58 miles (took me 3…

Only 33.6 oz 1 liter bottle I've ever seen.

I bought four pieces 15 years ago and lost a few. I've been chasing her for the last 10 years and I've finally found her. I bought four more hoping to give one to a friend and keep one for myself. The only possible complaints one might have is that they are long so you'll need a long brush if you want to scrub the floor and the indentation around the center of the bottle isn't as deep as most water bottles . Therefore, they don't snap into place as securely as a regular water bottle. In fact, I

Many of my trips are long solo trips without support in rural areas where it is difficult to find drinking water. These magnum water bottles are great for doing this between water sources. Like a few other reviewers, I dropped the bottle (it was empty), it landed on the bite valve and the cap broke. It was disappointing but when I emailed Zefal to see if I could buy just the lid they sent me a new one for free. That's excellent customer service. While waiting for the new lid to arrive, I tried…

Same outer size as Polar bottle but holds 9 ounces more water

Compared to the hugely popular Polar bottle, Zefal holds 9 ounces more water in the same outer size. See my side-by-side photo. The reason is that Polar is isolated and Zefal is not. They fit just as securely on my bike. I take both bottles on long bike rides (50+ miles). The wind from the movement of the bike will easily melt all the ice in an insulated Polar bottle in under an hour. So I drink from a bottle of Polar first. After the first hour, both bottles are at the same temperature and…

Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

The declared volume of the bottle is 975ml but I found (Weight: 85 grams empty without Lid, 998 grams, filled to the brim with water even without the lid) that its true volume is 914 ml (if you forget physics, 1 liter of water weighs 1 kg; 1 milliliter of water weighs 1 gram) . For those who don't understand the metric system, 914 ml is 30.9 fl oz by volume. Or, using the same volume of water but by weight, 914 grams is 32.24 ounces by weight. Find out. In any case, it looks like "33 oz" is the

These bottles have been gone for several years. The original design was all black. The problem with the original design, as another reviewer noted, was that the cap wasn't watertight and the bottle would often leak. This fact rendered the original completely unusable. After hearing that they were being redesigned, I decided to give them another chance. The extra 8 ounces this gives you over most other large bottles is just very attractive. totally waterproof as you can see in my photo. The…

Short review: Good performance, many disadvantages.

I love these bike packing bottles. That's the difference between carrying some kind of bubble and jumping between cities in the middle of summer at noon. The capacity of 1 liter is very attractive to me. For me, Camelback Podium water bottles are the best I've ever used. I would give the podium 4 stars. I'm used to trouble and now I have really positive associations with this water bottle. This Zefal bottle scores extra points for capacity and loses many points for the following criteria: A…
